New road markings have been installed at the junction of West Street and London Road to help raise awareness of the one-way system which was introduced two years ago.

Councillor Craig Browne said "I am delighted to see the new "No Entry" markings have been implemented at the junction of West Street in Alderley Edge - hopefully this will help boost awareness of the one-way restriction that has been in place since 2019."

Whilst a positive addition, why was this not put in place a
when the new scheme was implemented ?

The picture shows another regular abuse of the village pavements. Seems to be a 'park on any pavement, anywhere' culture these days.

Appreciate it's a tricky problem , and Heyes Lane Allotments have been given a long term lease, but what are the Parish Councils and East Cheshire Councils future thinking and plans for more parking in the village or can it not be achieved?

Its hasn't made any difference, I see a car driving down it the wrong way nearly every day -then they drive into Brown Street car park the wrong way!

The white line gives the appearance of two way traffic so drivers who don't know the area will continue to drive down it.
