Witness appeal after thief steals stone plant pot

Police are appealing for witnesses after a thief stole a stone plant pot from outside a house on Horseshoe Lane.

The incident occurred just before 8pm on Saturday, 3rd July, when a man entered the front garden and removed the stone trough which was worth approximately £300.

The local resident told alderleyedge.com "By the time I got my shoes on and rushed out, he (and I presume his vehicle) has disappeared along Horseshoe Land and Lynton Lane.

"The man was not tall, bare waisted and heavily muscled (the stone trough was very heavy)."

A police spokesperson said "The caller reported that an unknown man, who was short and wearing a baseball cap, had stolen a stone plant pot from outside an address on Horseshoe Lane.

"The man, removed the plants from the pot before fleeing the scene."
