Magician speeds in to office

Alan Russell

Alan Russell from Rainbow Balloons has just been elected President of The Order of The Magi, Manchester’s Magicians’ Society, and like The Magic Circle itself in London this society is over 100 years old.

Many people know Alan under his stage name of ‘Snaggers’ for his balloon modelling skills but he is also a very adept close up magician and children’s entertainer.

Alan, who performs at children’s parties as well as large scale venues like Manchester Town Hall for the christmas light switch on last year, said “I find combining magic and balloon modelling a good blend of entertainment for both children and adults."

Alan is no newcomer to the presidential role having held the office in 2008 with the Mercian Mystics, a magician’s society in Stoke on Trent. He is also an active member of Chester Guild of Magicians.

As you can see from the photo Alan was literally 'caught on camera' speeding his way into office and is looking forward to representing The Order of The Magi throughout his presidential year.
