Laithwaite's Wine opened its northern flagship store on South Street, Alderley Edge in October 2017 and celebrated their first birthday with a special weekend event on 13th and 14th October which was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.

Laithwaite's was formed in 1969 when its founder Tony Laithwaite began selling the wines from Bordeaux that he fell in love with during time spent in France. His passion continues to be the cornerstone of the company which next year will celebrate its golden anniversary.

The store is unique, offering a social experience where customers can shop, taste and relax. Alongside the wide range of around 400 wines from across the world, selling from just £6.99 per bottle, there are also spirits and beers for sale and a selection of fine wines.

Customers can unwind in the 'Little Wine Bar' which sells wines by the glass or bottle and offers nibbles to eat at lunchtime or in the early evening. There is also a large events space which has been used for pop up restaurants, private parties, corporate events/meetings and regular customer tastings - which have proved extremely popular.

The store has free parking and the team, which is led by David the Shop Manager, has a wealth of knowledge to sit alongside their passion and enthusiasm for the wines on offer. They promise you a very different shopping experience when you walk through their door

The events lined up for the next few weeks include pop up restaurants, Christmas party nights, a gin tasting and several Christmas themed wine and spirit tastings. Please call in to the shop or phone them on 0161 507 2233 for further details.

The team look forward to meeting you.
