Assisted by a number of local volunteers and officers from ANSA Parks Maintenance, Councillor Craig Browne planted 500 new perennials in the park on Tuesday, 9th October.

Alderley Edge Parish Council agreed at their September meeting that the flowerbed by the bandstand in the park should become a centrepiece attraction and approved the spend of £477.

Councillor Craig Browne said I would like to thank everyone involved in helping with the planting scheme and I'm sure that once the plants have had chance to bed-in, we will have a lovely new attraction to the park from next Spring onwards, through the summer. The plants are: Crocosmia, Salvia & Rudbeckia.

Well done to the volunteers for their efforts to improve the appearance of our village. Let us hope that no mindless vandals ruin all their hard work.
