Chetham's students to perform season finale

Chetham's musicians

The current season of lunchtime concerts at Alderley Edge Methodist Church concludes on Wednesday 20 June with selection of music by Sixth Form students from Chetham's School of Music.

Hamish Huston-Hill is from Germany and studies clarinet with Andrew Wilson. He will be performing Schumann's Fantasy Pieces, Op. 73.

Edward Holmes is a violinist from Wales and studies with Deirdre Ward. His performance will be Sonata No. 2, Op. 12 by Beethoven followed by Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 1 in G manor, Op. 78.

Patrick Renehan will perform Mozart's Concerto in Eb major, KV 485 and Bowen's Sonata in Eb, Op. 101 for French horn. Patrick is from Manchester and is studying with Lindsey Stoker.

The students will be accompanied on the piano by staff pianist Elena Nalimova.

The concert begins at 1pm and will last approximately 45 minutes.

Admission is by programme, priced £5 available at the door.

Light lunches will be served from 12 noon.

The nominated charity for this month is East Cheshire Hospice.

Following their two-month break over the summer, concerts will resume on 19th September with a piano recital by Matthew and Callum Mclachlan.
