Highways improvements continue

Within the last few days, work has commenced on the installation of dropped kerbs on the Congleton Road approach to the village.

As reported by Councillor Craig Browne at September's Parish Council meeting, this is part of a package of measures designed to make the centre of the village more accessible.

Work has also recently been completed on the Macclesfield Road junction, as well as at the bus stops on London Road.

Cllr Mike Taylorson commented "Refreshing the road markings is an important part of assisting the police and CEC enforcement officers, whilst at the same time helping to smarten the appearance of the highways generally."

Cllr Craig Browne added "By way of an update, I am pleased to report that resurfacing and lining works on Eaton Drive/Ryleys Lane around the Primary School, are due to be carried out between 13th and 16th November. I would like to thank CEC Highways Officers for responding to our requests for these projects."
