Guests of Edward Meeks Shoe Shop in Alderley Edge enjoyed a glass of champagne and a mince pie at the official opening night which coincided with the village Christmas lights switch on.
Staff handed out Ecco vouchers to lucky people in the crowd who then came in to collect a prize ranging from a new pair of shoes to a leather bag worth £280!
John Meeks said "We had a fantastic opening, there was a real community feel and everyone there seemed to be having a wonderful evening. We felt very privileged to be part of it all and our thanks goes out to all those people who helped with the Christmas lights switch on."
