The outline planning application has been posted on the internet. The application number is 09/0962M and it can be viewed at on the council's planning portal web site.
Please note that this is not an application by Dobbies but rather one made by a proxy agent. Objections to Dobbies are therefore of no relevance to this application. In order to make a comment you can e-mail [email protected].
It is expected that a full application will be made by Dobbies in due course but if we want to give them a flavour of the likely local response it is still worth objecting to this application. This is therefore an early skirmish in a future battle.
Your objection should be based upon a "planning" reason. The most obvious one is that this is development in the green belt, is not a mere variation of the Matthews permission but a wholly different application in terms of scale and location.
It will be un-neighbourly for the local residents, including those of Heawood Hall and Bollington Lane.
On highway issues the best that the public can say at this stage is that any link with the Bypass will need to be carefully worked out so as not to impact upon the flow of the bypass, the local network and access for local residents.
You have until 29 July to respond to Susan Orrell. I am going to continue to keep the petition running until the substantive application comes in.

The bad news is that this info can quietly be obtained and then supplied - rabbit like from a hat. If that happens it is all back on again.
The message for the time being has to be "keep sending in objections". Our petition is now around 1000 strong and growing by the day. If you want some pages feel free to e-mail me at
I am told that it will take a few days to get the scheme up on the planning portal after which time it will be all out to lodge objections.
I would remind everybody that even if you objected to the last scheme or signed the petition you should object again. Your last objection may well not be included this time round.
More as phase two of this saga develops.
