Alderley Edge resident and Company Director Mukta Sareen is launching her new company Romancing the Spice, offering Indian cooking courses in the village.

These will be relaxed, fun and hands-on courses consisting of no more than 4 people. The courses will last five to six hours, with all ingredients provided. At the end of the day you will be able to savour all the prepared dishes and also take some home to enjoy later.

The classes will take you through easy step by step techniques for preparing exotic cuisine from the Indian sub-continent and as Mukta explained "the emphasis will be on the simplicity of cooking Indian meals using locally sourced fresh ingredients."

When I spoke with Mukta she had just returned from India where she had taken further training from a professional chef. Mukta told us that whilst her cooking skills and techniques have been passed down from generations of her food loving family she is "constantly adding to them with research and travels to India."

Bookings are now being taken on 01625 539759 or via email at [email protected]
