Residents are invited to the next Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Focus Group Meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday 4th June.

The purpose of these public meetings is for Wilmslow, Styal, Handforth and Alderley Edge residents to speak directly to the local policing team and tell them what issues you are having and what you would like them to focus on over the coming months.

If residents have a community issue that concerns them they are encouraged to go along and tell the police about it.

Sergeant Andy Miller said "The Focus Group is an opportunity for us to hear what matters most to you about policing in your area and for you to have a say in how we work together with partner agencies to address local concerns or problems in the area where you live.

"This forum, in addition to our local Beat Meetings, is at the heart of neighbourhood policing in Wilmslow. Your contribution is key to the development of services needed by the public so that jointly we can agree with you and partner agencies the priorities to work on together in the local area."

Sgt Miller added "As your local Community Policing Sergeant I will ensure that we continue to focus on the issues that cause concern in your neighbourhood. However, the police may not always be able to address these matters alone and continued partnership working will always be encouraged as the way forward."

Community matters that have been raised via Focus Group meetings and addressed include: speeding on Morley Green Road, speeding on Hollin Lane in Styal, the use of mobile phones whilst driving and dangerous parking outside Wilmslow High School at pick-up and drop off times.

The Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Focus Group Meeting will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 4th June and will be held at Wilmslow High School in the first floor library.

Might be the only way to get to talk to the PCSO for Alderley Edge. I've left a message twice for a call back, nothing.
