There seems to be a scam by mail also at this time of year.
I remember last March a letter asking for around £1500 , in return I was to have my bins emptied all year, have street lighting in dark hours, streets cleaned, roads and pavements maintained and the streets policed, those behind this one called themselves Cheshire East Council.
