The next Wilmslow Police Focus Group Meeting is due to be held on Thursday 23rd January, starting at 7.15pm at Wilmslow High School.
The purpose of these meetings is for local residents of Alderley Edge and Wilmslow to attend and put forward suggestions for the Local Policing Team to focus on and solve over the next 3 months.
Inspector Sue Mills said "These suggestions are then prioritised by Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Team and progress is reported back at the next meeting. This is an opportunity to speak to your local policing team directly and to put forward suggestions in how to solve community issues by working together."
In the past the issues prioritised have included speeding, parking, traffic offences such as the illegal use of mobile phones whilst driving and problems with "Travellers" and illegal encampments.
Inspector Miils added "We tend to get on average around 30 attendees so if you feel strongly about an issue that affects the local community please come along and have your say."
