Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on the A34 Congleton Road in Nether Alderley.
Shortly before 7.20pm on Monday, 16th December, a silver BMW X3 was travelling along the A34 towards Alderley Edge. As the driver got to the stretch between Bollington Lane junction and Melrose Way (Alderley Edge Bypass), she was in collision with a pedestrian who was in the road.
Fire crews attended the incident and released a man from beneath the BMW using air bags, he was then treated by paramedics at the scene.
PC Frank Lafferty said: "The pedestrian, a 68-year-old man, is in hospital but he is expected to make a full recovery.
"In order to help us with our enquiries, we would ask anyone who saw the pedestrian before the incident or was passing at the time of the collision but were unable to stop, to contact police if they have not already done so."
