Here is the tenth interview in our 'Village People' series.

During the series the intention is to feature local people from a variety of backgrounds and different occupations. If you would like to feature in the 'Village People' series or suggest someone who would make a good candidate then please email me.

Full name: Kristina Hulme

Age: Post war baby boomer!

Occupation: Managing Partner at Travel by Design of Alderley Edge.

Marital status: Married to Tony for over 39 years.

Any children? One son who lives in Copenhagen.

Hobbies & Interests? Collecting round the world destinations for Travel by Design and gentle walks around the UK.

Where do you live? Up on the Edge in Alderley.

How long have you lived in the village? Since 1976.

Where did you move from and why? Moved from Wilmslow to Alderley to join forces with my mother-in-law, who sadly died the week we moved house.

What do you most like about living in Alderley Edge? The local people who are incredibly friendly and loyal.

What have been the biggest changes to Alderley Edge since you have been here? The cafe society and the village these days is unrecognisable in the evening. I hope that the revellers return in the daytime and appreciate the beauty of the region and the views from the Edge and Wizard Woods.

What do you miss about the village that has since gone?  The hardware shop, The Legend Bookshop and the Mandarin. I really miss talking to Canon Brian Young in his mobility scooter with his dog.

Describe Alderley Edge in 3 words? Busy, busy, busy.

What is your favourite way to spend a day out and about in Alderley Edge or the surrounding area? Walking down the hill to the Village Café for breakfast, meeting old friends at The Bubble Room for a glass or three of fizz, walking back up the hill in the afternoon with a friend's dog and then early doors at the Wizard with some of the family who live locally and then walking back with the torch!!

What is the most undervalued thing about Alderley Edge? The people who work tirelessly in the background to improve the village such as the dedicated public servants and the medical personnel who look after the local population.

What are the main myths about Alderley Edge? As I travel around the world (reading my alderleyedge.com!!) it is presumed that I know all the resident footballers personally when I tell people I am from Alderley Edge, UK. I tell them in the most part footballers are the best neighbours to have, very polite and quiet!!!!!!

Are you a member of a club or association based in the village? The Landmark Group who successfully fundraise to help pay for renovations to the St Philips Church Spire and before that the Church Roof and I have just joined The Patient's Participation Group at the George Street GP practice.

If you didn't live in Alderley Edge where would you want to move to? It would be either Salcombe, Devon having spent many holidays there, or Vancouver Canada for its outstanding scenery and outdoor lifestyle or moving to Copenhagen which is a fantastically vibrant stylish city and to be near our son.
