
Building materials, tools and York Stone were stolen from a house in the village which is currently undergoing renovation.
Offenders entered the property on Heyes Lane via an open section of the house between 5.30pm on Monday, 21st October and 6.45am on Tuesday, 22nd. Two tons of York Stone were taken along with a Diamond Saw and cement mixer and York stone.
A police spokesperson said "It is thought that at least four people and a large vehicle would have been needed to commit this crime."
