Piccadilly inappropriate touching

British Transport Police detectives have released this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was touched inappropriately at Manchester Piccadilly rail station.

This man, who travelled to Wilmslow station following the incident, is believed to have vital information about the sexual assault.

The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Wednesday 10th April as the woman, a 23-year-old from Manchester, travelled on the escalator towards the Fairfield Street entrance.

DC Mike Gore said: "As the woman travelled on the escalator towards the Fairfield Street entrance she was touched inappropriately."

Investigative work to date has enabled detectives to isolate the image of a man they believe could have vital information in relation to the incident.

DC Gore added: "We believe this man travelled from Piccadilly to Wilmslow and travelled on from there in a white BMW. I am now appealing to anyone who recognises this man to get in touch."
