Police arrested a man on suspicion of burglary in Alderley Edge on Friday, 19th October.
The young man was seen acting suspiciously and was reported for walking up drive ways in the Wood Gardens area.
The man, who was not local, was arrested by Wilmslow Police but not charged. He had a previous record for theft.
PCSO Jim Newns said "If you see anyone acting suspiciously please report this to Wilmslow Police as soon as you can."
