Police and an ambulance were called to an address on Macclesfield Road at the weekend, following reports that a man had collapsed on the drive.
Officers attended the scene at 4.24pm on Saturday, 25th August. The 85-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police cordoned off the area and remained at the scene for several hours to carry out initial enquiries.
The investigation established there were no suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
