The Wedding Shop in Alderley Edge is to appear in the new series of the Channel 5 show Celebrity Wedding Planner next week.
The first episode in the second series will be aired on Monday, 20th August, and see Pineapple Dance Studios' star Louie Spence paired up with Benidorm's barman Jake Canuso to take on the role of wedding planners.
Armed with a budget of £12,000 and just 21 days, the celebrity duo will plan the wedding of an ordinary couple, organising every precious detail including the venue, the flowers and the all-important dress which they selected from the Alderley Edge boutique.
Maggie Chadwick, owner of the Wedding Shop, said: "It was an absolute hoot as one of our celebrities was Louis Spence who put on a tiara and pirouetted around the shop in five inch platforms.
"Our other celebrity was the absolutely gorgeous Jake Canuso who plays the barman in Benidorm. They were part of the dance team with the Spice Girls and have remained best friends ever since. They made a fabulous team though virtually no one could get a word in edgeways as Louis never stopped gabbing.
"The boys had to persuade the bridesmaid and best friend that this was the final choice, she didn't think so but really had no chance against Louis. They did however, in my opinion, choose the bride the perfect dress, she wasn't sure at first but after a couple of minutes she was convinced and all the accessories they chose for her were also perfect and complimented her gown completely, she looked stunning."
Maggie added "I usually watch this sort of programme with hands over my eyes, not believing that any bride could let someone style them and their day with them not knowing anything. Believe me the bride knew nothing but they really got to know her the day before their visit to our shop and managed to get her personality into the style of dress. I am sure it will be very entertaining as it was sometimes a little outrageous but I suppose that just adds to the fun of it all."
Celebrity Wedding Planner will be shown on Channel 5 at 10pm on Monday, 20th August, whilst the Alderley Edge boutique will feature in this episode Maggie and her colleagues will not appear on screen.
