The Bubble Room has been granted their new licence, enabling them to move forward with plans to expand next door.

The new licence covers both 47 London Road, where they currently operate, and 45 London Road where the Post Office is located.

The Mason family initially applied for an additional hour to enable them to sell alcohol until 2am from Thursday to Saturday, but following a meeting with concerned local residents they decided to amend the application so their trading times remain the same as they currently are.

The Bubble Room were granted a change of use of 45 London Road, from A1 retail to A3/A4 restaurant and bar, earlier this year to enable them to extend their business into the neighbouring property, when the Post Office relocates to 12 West Street.

Jane Mason said "We are extremely happy with the outcome of our licensing meeting. Having worked closely with a group of local residents to alleviate any concerns we feel we can now move forward with our business plans, once the Post Office has vacated."
