A 46-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a collision on the A34 Congleton Road.
Police were called to the scene at 7.27am this morning, where a car had collided with a coach between the Monks Heath traffic lights and junction with Mill Lane.
No passengers were in the coach but the driver of the blue Ford Fiesta, a 46-year-old woman, was taken to Hope Hospital with a serious head injury and other injuries.
Road closures continue to be in place on the A34 southbound at Monks Heath lights and north of Siddington cross roads which is at the junction of Pex Hill Lane while the vehicles are recovered.
Update: The road closures have now been lifted and police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to call 0845 458 0000 quoting incident number 125 of 13th October.
