Witnesses sought for cyclist collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a van failed to stop after colliding with a cyclist in Alderley Edge on Friday, 29th July.

The incident occurred around 3pm when the 19 year old cyclist was in a collision with a red Mercedes van as he was crossing London Road at its junction with Ryleys Lane.

The van driver didn't stop, possibly unaware of the incident, and carried on in the direction of Congleton. The cyclist suffered facial injuries which he is undergoing treatment for.
