The East Cheshire Hospice Midnight Walk is once again proving a huge hit with hospice supporters.

The walk, now in its fourth year, has so far raised over £250,000 for the hospice.

Midnight Walk organiser Lara Rigby said, 'We are really pulling out all the stops this year, it is set to be a night to remember. With Dazed and Confused one of the best live bands around performing live on the night, spirits are sure to be high."

The walk is supported by over 100 volunteers and really pulls the hospice together.

Lara said "The hospice is at the heart of our community and the Midnight Walk see's staff from all departments of the hospice coming together to produce a fantastic night. It also see's people of all ages and from all backgrounds coming together to walk in support of this incredible local charity."

Last year two of the hospice's nurses Wendy Elton and Sylvia Gaskell dressed up in old fashioned nurses uniforms to marshal the route. Hopefully this year there will be many more inspiring costumes.

With registration going so well Lara is encouraging those planning on walking to get there registration forms in today. "We are well ahead of target for registration and the early bird rate ends on Friday 25th March so please do get your registrations in before then."

You can register on line today at www.eastcheshirehospice.org.uk, alternatively contact the fundraising office at the hospice on 01625 433477.
