Alderley Edge School for Girls is delighted to announce two new Scholarships in addition to the 11+ Scholarship they already offer.

For the first time academic scholarships will be offered at 13+ and the Sixth Form, to girls who show academic promise. Not only will they enable them to continue with their studies, or enter into the school, they will also mark them out as academic scholars, which should help considerably in future university and career applications.

Mrs Susan Goff, Headmistress at the School commented, "We are keen to nurture our girls and recognise their exceptional talent. Through the Scholarship programme, we will be seeking to reward those girls who achieve outstanding success in a variety of subjects".

The number and value of the Scholarships will vary from one year to another but they are awarded purely on academic merit and as the result of a searching set of examinations and interviews.

Details for the Sixth Form Academic Scholarship Day, taking place on Wednesday 15th December, and the 13+ Scholarship Day, on 21st January 2011 can be found in our events calendar.

Non Academic Scholarships are also available at Sixth Form for music and sport. These are awarded to girls who demonstrate exceptional talent in these activities. Girls who wish to be considered will be invited to attend a full day of testing and interviews on 20th January 2011.
