Last week Alderley Edge School for Girls were privileged to have the poet, David Horner, spend three days in the school. Having been a teacher for 15 years, David Horner is now a full time freelance writer and performer whose poems have been published in numerous magazines and anthologies.
He has also won prizes in national competitions and had his work broadcast on national radio and television.
Headmaster Lawrence Groves said "He worked with every year group from Nursery to Year 6. The girls produced a whole range of different poems all of which demonstrated fantastic imagination and creativity. The girls loved working with him and gained a lot from the experience."
