England's front two could cost chippie a fortune

Foster's Fish and Chips in the village will be showing their support for the national team by offering all customers a free meal every time one of their famous customers scores a goal in the World Cup.

The award winning chippy, owned by Gareth and Kath Foster, is a favourite with many local footballers including; Wayne Rooney, Peter Crouch, Harry Kewell and Michael Carrick.

Kath said “We wanted to get involved in the World Cup, have a bit of fun and support our loyal customers. We will also be offering a free can or ice-cream to everyone in the shop every time a goal is scored, by any team or any player.”

Gareth and Kath have installed a plasma television in the chippie so customers can watch the games and Wayne Rooney has signed a shirt for them which is currently on display in the shop. To win it you have to predict how many goals in total will be scored during the whole tournament. If more than one person guesses correctly all the correct entries will be put in a hat and the winner will be selected at random.

The offer is strictly limited to one free meal per customer, who is in the shop at the time the goal is scored, so if England’s front two have a cracking tournament, as we hope, Fosters could end up giving away a lot of fish and chip suppers.
