Gusto hosts 'Only Girls Aloud' charity bash

Gusto and the Lynton Clinic teamed up with some of the coolest companies around last week to create a girls only pamper, beauty and fashion event in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.

Kiesha Spence, Business Development Manager at Gusto said "We themed it as a pre Sex in the City 2 party, which launched the following day, so guests received a complimentary Raspberry Bellini and cupcake from The Cupcake Crew on arrival.

"We worked primarily with Lynton Clinic who gave visitors the opportunity to try out some of their beauty treatments including Microdermabrasion and Skin Imaging, which tells you how old you face is.

"Suzanne Neville also kindly lent us a selection of dresses for the day, which were modelled by myself and a number of high profile guests."

Selfridges were also present with a selection of Halston dresses and designer shoes, along with Amanda Gleave from Divine Rocks jewellery, Nailrooms with a selection of eyelash extensions and visitors were given the opportunity to try out free massages from Jill Harding at Ridgea Holistic treatment.

Guests were given the opportunity to enter the raffle, with prizes geneously donated by local businesses including; a Bobbi Brown Make-up set from John Lewis, an Orchid from the Potting Shed, photo shoot with Slice of Pie Designs, a Handyman for a day from KJB Builders, a £50 meal voucher from At Home with Gusto, Suzanne Neville perfume and a House of W voucher.

Kiesha added "We also invited Colleen Rooney, she couldn't attend but kindly donated a signed bottle of her new perfume and latest book."

The 'Only Girls Aloud' party, which provided a great opportunity for a girlie lunch or dinner as Gusto, raised £800 for East Cheshire Hospice.

PR Consultant Teresa Thomason, who helped organised the event with Kiesha said "The event went very well. There was a fantastic buzzy atmosphere, the ladies seemed to be having a lovely time with their friends and of course East Cheshire Hospice are delighted to have raised these funds. Our event went under the umbrella of their recently formed 'What Women Want' committee."

On behalf of the Lynton Beauty Clinic who helped to organise this event, many thanks to everyone for their support, helping to make it a tremendous success.

The East Cheshire Hospice does an amazing job and as they say ''every penny counts''. The hospice’s services are free but they receive less than 23% of their annual costs from Government and so have to fundraise almost £6,000 every single day of the year to make ends meet.

They rely upon friends in the community to help them provide a crucial local service. The Lynton Clinic are delighted to be associated with this fantastic local cause.
