Award-winning building nominated in regional final

East Court (1)

East Court on Beechfield Road, Alderley Edge is amongst three, award-winning buildings in Cheshire East which have been nominated in this year’s North West Regional Building Excellence Awards.

The awards are handed out to those who have constructed new buildings that are regarded to be of a particularly high standard and MH Stainton have been nominated in the Best Domestic Extension category for East Court.

The three projects, including Sir Willam Stanier High School in Crewe and ‘The Leighton’ Extra Care Village Development, qualified for the regional awards after scooping a Cheshire Building Excellence prize in February of this year.

The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 14 at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, Lancashire.

Cheshire East Councillor, Diana Thompson, Cabinet Support Member with responsibility for Prosperity said: “I am proud to hear these projects have been nominated for a regional award. This is excellent news for the Cheshire East area and is proof that local constructors are leading the way in terms of creating modern, practical and sympathetic buildings which reflect the local environment.

“I have every hope that these constructions will have a big impact at the regional awards in May. Bringing home a prestigious Building Excellence Award to Cheshire East is what these projects deserve.”
