Concert of Christmas favourites for all the family

The Alderley Edge Symphony Orchestra will join with The Ryleys School Chamber Choir for their Christmas concert at 3.30pm on Sunday 12th December in the Methodist Church.

Helen Hall, from the orchestra said, "We are so looking forward to our Christmas concert this year, having been unable to play during the Covid pandemic last year. It is one of our favourite concerts of the year. We loved singing with the Ryleys choir in 2019 and are so glad they are joining us again.

"We are glad to have a baritone soloist, David Palmer, too. With our principal trumpet player, he will give a stirring performance of "The Trumpet Shall Sound" from The Messiah. David will also soothe us gently into the Christmas spirit with his version of "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas."

There will be all the popular favourites with something for everyone to enjoy, including Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and Rutter's O Holy Night as well as carols for the audience to join in.

Tickets, priced £12 for adults and £1 for children, are available from www.aeso.org.uk.
