Emergency services respond to reported incident at train station

Emergency services responded in force after an incident was reported at Alderley Edge station on Monday, 31st May.

Five police cars, three ambulances, two fire engines and one helicopter arrived at the train station at about 5pm and trains between Crewe and Manchester were delayed whilst a search was carried out.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said "Officers were called to Alderley Station at around 5pm on Monday 31 May following reports of a man trespassing on the tracks.

"Officers and emergency services searched the area, but no one was found."
