The MRI service available during the pandemic

WE ARE OPEN FOR YOU

As our lives change and adjust to a new normal during the coronavirus crisis, it's possible that we avoid dealing with pain or health concerns.

The majority of our hospitals are now supporting the NHS, but there are still healthcare providers available to help, including European Scanning Centre, Manchester.

The European Scanning Centre, Manchester, is a standalone MRI and ultrasound centre based at Kingsley Hall, close to Manchester Airport and like many businesses, it has adapted its service to the current situation to ensure that it can continue to provide diagnostic imaging to patients who require MRI and ultrasound scans.

CREATING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL

We are known for our ability to put our patients at ease in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment. The health and wellbeing of our patients and colleagues is always a priority but none more so than during this difficult time.

Anyone visiting the centre should be reassured that we have implemented health and safety measures throughout to protect patients and colleagues. We are able to do this because we are a small team and allocate extra time between scans to allow for additional infection control cleaning set out by NHS England.

We have ample private parking adjacent to the building and on arrival one of our team, wearing PPE and mask, will come to the car to collect our patients.

Our beautiful centre currently looks quite bare but this is because all plants and magazines have been removed from the centre to minimise cross infection, as well as spacing out the chairs in the waiting room, however, the welcome is as warm as always.

The European Scanning Centre also makes sure every patient is well enough for the appointment by asking a series of questions before the booking is made. For example, if the patient has a cough or has been in contact with someone who has had coronavirus, they have to wait at least two weeks before booking.

APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE

All of these steps mean the European Scanning Centre can continue to offer patients appointments.

If you need an MRI scan, it is recommended to seek advice from your doctor as they will be able to organise a referral ([email protected]).

JOINT INJECTIONS FOR ARTHRITIS, TENDONITIS AND SPORTS INJURIES

In addition to MRI Scanning we are able to offer orthobiological joint therapies through the Regenerative Therapy Centre www.regenerativetherapycentre.co.uk. We are able to treat a whole range sports injuries and degenerative joint arthritis, tendon and muscle injuries, non-specific joint aches and pains and other musculoskeletal conditions.

If you are considering a joint therapy, we can organise an e-consultation.
