Alderley Edge School for Girls wowed audiences last week with two sell-out performances of Oliver!

The annual production was a real challenge for the girls and with convincing performances of ‘Oom Pah Pah’, ‘Food Glorious Food’ and an emotional performance of ‘As Long As He Needs Me’, the girls proved to be a real success.

Ms Clare Bonham, Head of Dance and Drama at Alderley Edge School for Girls comments, "The girls have been incredibly busy attending rehearsals and were extremely excited to be performing what is regarded as one of the most popular British musicals. The production was excellent and the performances were a real credit to the school and those girls who took part."

Proceeds from the souvenir Oliver! programme will be donated to the Haiti Appeal in support of the school’s recent fundraising activity.

Alderley Edge School for Girls would like to thank families, friends and members of the local community who took the time to attend the shows and welcome their attendance at the school’s forthcoming Dance Showcase in March.
