Councillor Craig Browne has confirmed that Cheshire East Highways will be coming to do a road sweep in the village next week and he is inviting residents to identify any roads which need to be cleared of leaves.
He said "At this time of year, fallen leaves are an issue and I have reported: Wilton Crescent, Aldford Place, Eaton Drive, Chorley Hall Lane, Heyes Lane, Mottram Road, Trafford Road, Oakfield Road and Davey Lane.
"If you live in Alderley Edge and your road needs sweeping, please let me know so I can get it added to the schedule."
If you wish to identify a particular road within Alderley Edge please email Councillor Browne or use the comment box below.

Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below.
Macclesfield Road, Underwood Road, Woodbrook Road, Beechfield Road, Congleton Road, Lynton Lane, Elmfield Road, Horseshoe Lane, Wilmslow Road, Brook Lane, Moss Lane, Moss Road, Marlborough Road.
I am also pleased to confirm that the gully emptying team are due to come to Alderley Edge to clear out all blocked drains, over a five day period from Monday 28th November.
Kind regards,
Craig
Craig.....please consider pushing back the green bin period ending and keep the weeks of non collection the same but push the return date of collection into Spring?? Your residents need a couple more weeks collection to enable us to clear up from our leafy roads and residences....
As Dingle Avenue is within the Wilmslow West & Chorley Ward, rather than Alderley Edge Ward, I'm afraid you will need to take this up with your local Councillor.
Your Cheshire East Council representatives for Wilmslow West & Chorley Ward are Cllrs Ellie Brooks & Gary Barton.
Kind regards,
Craig
Surely, as a responsible Council, they should make sure ALL the roads in the village and surrounding areas are swept and kept free of leaves ?
Otherwise, they are not doing their duty and are not carrying out tasks that we pay for ?
If they don't carry out the work there is a very real slip hazard (particularly for older people) made worse as the leaves freeze.
Additionally, the leaves find their way into drains, cause blockage and then flooding.
The cost of not carrying out the work is likely to be far greater than getting on with it..
I suppose if you save a million pounds a year, then there are many things which will be left undone: http://bit.ly/2ge0diL This contract has just been extended for a further two years.
As usual CEC are going the opposite way to many councils, who are finding the "outsourcing model" to have failed and who are now taking services back in house and saving money! Liverpool say that they have saved a million pounds a year since doing so; what a curious co-incidence in savings!
C.E. announced, oh some 2 or 3 years back, that it was to start a program of cleaning road signs. Either they've not gone ahead with that or A.E. has dropped a long way down the list of places to be so cleaned?
I agree with you that the state of the signs is a disgrace to the village.
Despite Craig's effort, C.E. have decided not to sweep Horseshoe Lane, because it is an unadopted road. Also C.E. will not provide and install light bulbs in the Lane's street lights.
CCC and MBC did those jobs, in the 'good old days'.
Should you consider that a lack of action re. unadopted roads is pf little importance, may I suggest that you consider Rev. Niemoller's poem on the general subject ?
