Alderley Edge Methodist church hosted a fantastic Children In Need School's Concert on Friday evening. The church was packed with a very enthusiastic audience of children, parents, and supporters of the schools taking part for this very popular annual event.

Alderley Edge Primary School, The Ryleys, Alderley Edge School for Girls, Ashdene Primary, Mottram St.Andrew Primary, and the Alderley District Scout Band each produced performances of high quality.

Judy Povey, church secretary said “ The children and staff alike had all worked extremely hard to make their contributions fun, lively, and of a really high standard. An excellent night was had by everyone.”

Alderley Edge Guides, Alderley Explorer Scouts, and some other young helpers spent the evening rattling buckets relieving the generous audience of their cash.

Judy was delighted to inform us that “Together with entrance money, and the sale of masses of Pudsey biscuits and other goodies, which were frantically and kindly baked by the cook at Mottram St.Andrew School, the wonderful sum of £1230.86p was raised - which has already been sent off to Children In Need.”
