Hough Lane to close for drainage repairs

Hough Lane will be closed from its junction with Moss Road to the junction with Heyes Lane next week to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out drainage repairs.

It is anticipated that the works will take place from Monday, 7th December, to Friday, 11th December.

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained where possible.

About time too, the flooding along there is awful and lethal, when you meet another car on your side of the road to avoid the puddle/lake!

Well I hope they make a better job of it than they did just over the little bridge end of Heyes Lane ,this was reported many times before they came and it is now no better than it was before a dangerous leak on a bend and lethal in icy weather.
