Volunteers are still needed for the Alderley Edge Community Speed Watch group which was established two years ago, to address the issue of speeding vehicles in the village.
A team of three volunteers, who have been trained in the use of a speed gun, spend an hour whenever they can and record the speed of passing vehicles on four main roads in the village: Brook Lane, Ryleys Lane, Congleton Road and Macclesfield Road.
They record vehicles that are traveling in excess of 36mph in a 30 mile speed limit, motorists are then sent a warning letter from the police.
Anyone interested in joining the group can contact PCSO Sarah Stanley on 0845 458 6374.
