Naomi Tarr from Costa in Alderley Edge has won the area heat of the coffee chain's prestigious Barista of the Year competition.
Emma Smith, one of Costa's UK Coffee Excellence Trainers, who helped judged the competition, said "The standards were very high across the board and the quality of presentation of drinks was especially good across all candidates."
Naomi, who was described as having "exceptional technical knowledge" will now go on to compete in the regional heat in Leeds on September 9th and if successful she will compete in the Champions of Champions Final on October 21st.
More than 1000 Costa stores will compete globally with the hope of winning the final and a holiday for two, to a country with a coffee connection.
