A group of men armed with crowbars raided an Alderley Edge opticians in the early hours of the morning stealing hundreds of pairs of designer glasses.
During the early hours of Friday 13th June, five offenders broke into Alderley Eyecare on London Road by forcing a door at the rear. The offenders had their faces fully covered and were carrying crowbars.
Once inside, they took 600 pairs of designer glasses and sunglasses before making their escape.
A police spokesperson said "The premises were unoccupied at the time and no person was harmed. CSI have examined the scene and the investigation is continuing."
