A free attendant service is being launched at the Texaco Garage on Wilmslow Road.
Every Wednesday between 1pm and 4pm a forecourt attendant will be available to fill your car with petrol for you, as well as check the oil and water levels.
This free service is being launched to particularly help senior citizens and those customers with mobility issues.
Stephen Higham, who purchased the petrol station from Rontec towards the end of last year, explained "I noticed a few weeks ago an elderly lady struggling to open her bonnet and it started me thinking! As we are in a residential area with a large percentage of people retired there must be a need for an attendant to serve those customers who have mobility problems due to various ailments or just advanced years.
"We are piloting a scheme on Wednesday afternoons between 1-4pm there will be an attendant to serve fuel and check water & oil levels free of charge."
