Plans for Alderley's Remembrance Day parade and service

The Alderley Edge Remembrance Day parade and service will take place on Sunday, 10th November.

The parade will gather outside the Festival Hall at 2.15pm and depart at 2.30pm. Members from the Royal British Legion, Alderley Edge Parish Council, Cheshire Police, British Red Cross and WRVS will be joined by scouts, cubs, guides and brownies.

They will march along Moss Lane, Trafford Road and Chapel Road before proceeding down London Road to the War Memorial on Ryleys Lane.

Following prayers and the wreath laying ceremony the parade will march back up London Road and along Chapel Road to Alderley Edge Methodist Church for the Service of Remembrance which will commence at 3pm.

A two minutes silence, in honour of those who sacrificed their lives fighting for their country, will be observed outside Barclays Bank at 11am on Saturday, 9th November.
