Lingerie boutique opens in Alderley

A new lingerie boutique has opened in the village centre offering a selection of the prettiest and most feminine lingerie.

Ayla Rose was created by Juliet McLeod, inspired by her love for pretty lingerie and a passion for all things luxurious and beautifully made.

Ayla Rose is a new independent venture for 31-year-old Juliet who lives in Mobberley and previously worked as a teacher at Mobberley Primary School. Having spent years as a lingerie shopaholic, she has hand-selected every piece for her George Street shop.

Juliet told me "I have always been a lingerie addict so have had a quiet dream of doing something within this field. Over recent years I felt there was something lacking locally in terms of offering a combination of choice, high quality products, fit and beautiful design, which I feel all lingerie should have some elements of. The dream then started to become more of a plan and then Ayla Rose was created."

Speaking about why she chose to open her new business in Alderley Edge, Juliet said "I wanted a location where I would be surrounded by other small, independent and successful boutiques and businesses. As a new business it is important to see that there is certainly potential for your idea to work. Ayla Rose had to be in an area where its customers appreciate high quality and design, which again is reflected through the standard of businesses throughout the village.

"Having grown up around and been to school in Alderley, I knew there is an immense feel of community spirt and support, which I have certainly felt from the moment I received the keys to the shop. I very much want to be a part of the community and add value in many forms to the village."

When designing the layout, Juliet focussed on creating a boutique where customers would feel welcome and at ease, because for some people lingerie shopping can sometimes feel intimidating.

Juliet added "I have hand selected every brand I carry within the shop, carefully considering price, style and purpose. I have a selection of British designed pieces, all of outstanding quality, and a range of simple and classic basics. Prices start from £38 for a bra. I also have sleep and loungewear and swimwear starting in November, which I will carry all year round."

Juliet is fully trained in bra fitting and offers private appointments should they be required.
