A fun quiz night is being organised to raise money for the Alderley Edge May Fair.
Now in its third year the event is a huge favourite with local families but funds are required in order to secure its future and enable it to remain a free community event.
Judy O'Brien from Mr Simms explained "We decided to run a quiz to bring people together in the village to meet up and have some fun in the build up to the May Fair. The committee work so hard to put the fair on. The quiz will give people in the community an opportunity to contribute to and share in this local event.
"The evening will be informal, friendly, relaxed and fun. Teams of four will be asked rounds of questions on various topics such as local knowledge, trivia, films, music etc. There will be a prize for the winning team and a booby prize for the runners up."
The quiz will take place on Monday May 13th, for adults only, who can enter in teams of four.
Tickets will cost £10 each, to include supper, and there will be a pop up bar as well as a raffle and bingo during the interval.
The quiz will take place at The Yard on South Street starting at 7.30pm with arrival from 7pm.
