The Alderley Edge Remembrance Day parade and service will take place on Sunday, 11th November.

The parade, led by Bollington Air Cadets Band, will depart from the Festival Hall at 2.30pm. Members from the Royal British Legion, Alderley Edge Parish Council, Cheshire Police, British Red Cross and WRVS will be joined by scouts, cubs, guides and brownies.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Cheshire, Christine Gaskell, will be taking part in the parade and wreath laying ceremony this year, as a representative of David Briggs, the Lord Lieutenant for Cheshire.

They will march along Moss Lane, Trafford Road and Chapel Road before proceeding down London Road to the War Memorial on Ryleys Lane.

Following prayers and the wreath laying ceremony, a Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Philip and St. James Church commencing at 3pm. This year's service will be conducted by Rev Jane Parry, Vicar of St. Philip and St. James Church.

A two minutes silence, in honour of those who sacrificed their lives fighting for their country, will be observed outside Barclays Bank at 11am on Saturday, 10th November.
