Plans for additional house on former Royal Oak site

A new planning application to build a second detached house at Oak Park, the site of the former Royal Oak pub, has been submitted to Cheshire East Council.

Permission was granted in June 2011 (reference 11/1111M) to build four semi detached houses and one detached house which are currently under construction.

A previous application (reference 10/4529M) to build four semi detached and two detached houses was submitted in November 2010 but was later withdrawn because the second detached house was considered by some local residents to have an overbearing effect on neighbouring properties.

At the time Stephen Price at Riverlodge Properties, who took over the lease of the Royal Oak in 2005, stated that the plot would be the subject of a separate planning application. This has now been submitted (reference 12/0862M) to build a four bedroom detached property with a double garage.

This additional house, referred to as Plot 6, will be located on the eastern side of the site. A protected sycamore tree is located within the curtilage of this plot and it has been agreed that the tree will be preserved within this scheme.

The Strategic Highways Manager has assessed this application and concluded there is sufficient off-street parking provided for the dwelling, so has raised no objections.

The planning application, reference (12/0862M), can be viewed at the Cheshire East Council planning portal.

Typical. They get permission for planning as agreed, then they want to increase the buildings.
Eventually, they'll want to cover the whole of the open spaced area where the Allotments are.
Just typical ! ............ Their plans are agreed then they just want more, more, more !!!

I totally agree! It will be very interesting to see what happens. .What a coincidence when the plans are being drawn up to relocate the allotments!
