Alderley girls attend European conference

Lower Six pupils from Alderley Edge School for Girls recently travelled out to Paris for the annual 'Your Future in Europe' conference.

The conference covered topics such as the European Union, the causes and consequences of the current Euro-Zone crisis, and the role of various nations in leading the EU out of the crisis.

The girls also listened to entrepreneurs from the world of business including the co-founder of Green & Black's Josephine Fairley, Evan Davies a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Today programme and Joe McEwan, the Communities Manager of Innocent, the UK smoothie company.

Following the conference, the group managed to visit the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Museum d'Orsay, the Notre Dame Cathedral. They also enjoyed a boat trip on the River Seine and a journey to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
