Alderley pupils get the dragon's vote

Four children from Alderley Edge Community Primary School triumphed in a recent Dragon's Den competition.

The four Year 5 pupils competed against other local schools at St Ann's Fulshaw School on Friday, 8th July. Each team had to design a machine that would recycle items from the school, for the benefit of the school.

Following a brainstorming session, the children from Alderley Edge devised a machine that recycled waste water from all areas of the school, purified it and also reused any solids.

Headteacher Mr Chris Perry said "We are very proud of these four children who competed in the Dragon's Den event at St Anne's Fulshaw School last week.

"The children worked tremendously well as a team and I think this strong working partnership helped to secure the Dragon's vote!!"

They won first prize of a £25 book token for the school and were presented with certificates in morning assembly.
