The Under 13 cricket team won the Cheshire County Cup by beating Brooklands on Tuesday, 5th July.
Alderley won the toss at Brookland Cricket Club and elected to bat first.
Captain Harry Whitehead (30 retired) opened the batting with Alex Read who scored 21. Other contributions came from Jonny Evans 14, Patrick Draper 16, Harry Broughton 13 (not out) and Oskar Barnes 15 (not out). Alderley Edge scored a total of 135 for 5 off 20 overs.
The fielding and catching by Alderley Edge was top quality, as a result Brooklands were all out for 62 in 17.2 overs.
Notable bowling performances came from Patrick Draper 2 for 9 off 3 overs, Sam Goddard 1 for 15 off 3, Oskar Barnes 4 for 6 off 3 and Henry Scanlon 2 for 10 off 2.2.
