Having raised over £900 with a sponsored fun run, Year 1 and 2 pupils from Alderley Edge School for Girls were delighted to be able to visit the Childrens' Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) to see how their fundraising will help.

The girls experienced a guided tour from the staff at CAFT and spent time in the multi-sensory room - a dimly lit room where coloured lights are projected onto the walls. The room has comfortable bean bags for seating and tents, which are designed to help children with varying emotional and physical needs to relax.

Miss Chloe Biesty, teacher of class 1B commented, "The girls were lucky enough to try out lots of the equipment at the adventure farm and also used the various interactive stations which are on the walls. In addition, they had fun meeting some of the animals which reside on the farm".

Year 2 teacher, Mrs Claire Ash added, "The girls had a lovely day and we would like to express our thanks not only to the amazing team at CAFT but also to Mrs Byrant, Chaplain Mary and Mrs Morton-Davies for accompanying the girls on their trip. It really is an amazing place"

The Childrens' Adventure Farm Trust is a charity that offers free adventure breaks and activities to children who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and poverty, from all over the Northwest.
