The Hi Ho Silver shop at 14 London Road closed on Monday, 28th March.
A notice on the door of the gift shop reads "With regret, this store is closed for the foreseeable future."
Andrew Ransford, Managing Director at Hiho Silver, said "Due to extremely difficult trading conditions on the High street the company that previously owned the shops has entered administration.
"The former management team have purchased certain assets from the Administrators with a view to running this website and mobile events. Please direct any customer enquiries to [email protected]."
